Trempealeau County Fairest of the Fair Contest Information
Information available soon for the 2020 Fairest of the Fair
Trempealeau County young people from 16 to 21 years of age are invited to compete for the title of Trempealeau County Fairest of the Fair and Attendants. It’s an excellent opportunity to represent Trempealeau County and grow personally, intellectually and socially.
Application deadline for the 2020 Fairest of the Fair is July 1, 2020.
HOW TO QUALIFY
Applicant must:
1. Be 16 to 21 years of age (and not reach their 22nd birthday before January 1, 2021)
2. Never have been married.
3. Be a resident of Trempealeau County for at least one year prior to July 20, 2020, or an active member of a Trempealeau County Youth organization and has exhibited for at least 2 years at the Trempealeau County Fair.
4. Be able to devote time to county public appearances, parades and events during July, 2020 to August, 2021.
5. Be sponsored by a youth organization, FFA Chapter, FHA Chapter, 4-H Club, civic or service organization, business or individual. Sponsor pays the applicant’s entry fee of $35.00. Sponsor fee due at time of application submission. (Make checks payable to Trempealeau County Ag. Society, Inc.).
6. Submit a wallet size head and shoulder photograph with the application found in the center area of the fair book or submit with online application.
Photo must be original. No copies or computer scanned images.
7. Applications are available online or can be printed and mailed. Deadline for either method is July 1, 2020.

FAIREST OF THE FAIR PRIZES
The new Trempealeau County Fairest of the Fair receives $300, First Attendant receives $200 and Second Attendant receives $100. A stipend of $25 will be paid for each parade attended by each court member. Payment will be made upon completion of the 2020-2021 parade season.
FAIREST OF THE FAIR CONTESTANTS JOB DESCRIPTION
1. The Trempealeau County Fairest of the Fair represents the Trempealeau County Agricultural Society, Inc. at the County Fair, festivals, and other functions for one year.
2. Attends all four days of the Trempealeau County Fair.
3. Attends Fairest of the Fair contest in January 2022 for three days, if Fairest of the Fair is 18 or older.
4. Particpate in various roles during the fair as determined by the Fairest Coordinators.
5. Announce entertainment
6. Impromptu media interviews with radio & TV throughout the year.
7. Attend community parades as assigned.
JUDGING
Qualified applicants will be judged on personality, community activities, appearance and speaking ability by a panel of three judges.
Judging will be Tuesday July 7th at 6:30pm with location to be announced
FAIREST OF THE FAIR CORONATION
Fairest of the Fair Coronation to be held at the 2020 Trempealeau County Fair on Thursday July 16th in the Co-op Pavilion.
