Director - Marilyn M WhalenOccupation: Sales Support Allied Cooperative
Area of County: West Central Address City: Arcadia Marilyn has been a lifelong Trempealeau County Fair fanatic. Growing up as a 4-H member, the highlight of her summer was showing her 4-H projects at the fair, especially her beef cattle. Marilyn met her husband, Kevin, at the Trempealeau County Fair. Now their two children are active 4-H and FFA members showing their projects at the fair. The Whalen family raise sheep and beef, which the kids exhibit at the fair. The livestock projects have been a great way for our children to learn to how to care for animals, being responsible, and realizing it takes hard work to be successful. Marilyn’s most favorite part of the fair is reuniting with old friends and meeting new friends every summer at the fair. It is always exciting to see the great exhibits individuals and groups put together every year. As a new Fair Board member, her goal is to promote the Open Class participation and welcome groups like the Girl & Boy Scout groups to participate in the fair as well. Marilyn’s other goal is to continue promoting all the great things happening at the Trempealeau County Fair. |
