Trempealeau County Fair Ambassador Contest
Trempealeau County young people from 16 to 21 years of age are invited to compete for the title of Trempealeau County Fair Ambassador and Attendants. It’s an excellent opportunity to represent Trempealeau County and grow personally, intellectually and socially.
HOW TO QUALIFY
Applicant must:
1. Be 16 to 21 years of age (and not reach their 22nd birthday before January 1, 2012)
2. Never have been married.
3. Be a resident of Trempealeau County for at least one year prior to July 22, 2011.
4. Be able to devote time to county public appearances parades and events during August, 2011 to August, 2012.
5. Be sponsored by a youth organization, FFA Chapter, FHA Chapter, 4-H Club, civic or service organization, business or individual. Sponsor pays the applicant’s entry fee of $35.00. (Make checks payable to Trempealeau County Ag. Society).
6. Submit a wallet size head and shoulder photograph with the application found in the center area of this book. Photo must be original. No copies or computer scanned images.
7. Applications must be postmarked by June 11, 2011 and sent to: Trempealeau County Fair Ambassador Coordinator W12308 State Rd. 54, Ettrick, WI 54627
FAIR AMBASSADOR PRIZES
The new Trempealeau County Fair Ambassador receives $300 upon coronation. First Attendant receives $150 and Second Attendant receives $50.
FAIR AMBASSADOR JOB DESCRIPTION
1. The Trempealeau County Fair Ambassador represents the Trempealeau County Agricultural Society at the County Fair, festivals, and other functions for one year.
2. Attends all four days of the County Fair.
3. Attends Fairest of the Fair contest in January for three days, if Ambassador is 18 or older.
JUDGING
Qualified applicants will be judged on personality, community activities, appearance and speaking ability by a panel of three judges. Judging date and location to be announced.
AMBASSADOR CORONATION
Fair Ambassador Coronation to be held at the 2011 Trempealeau County Fair, Thursday, July 21, in the Farm Progress Arena.
